Project Background
This was a repeat order for custom marine bronze bushings. We had previously manufactured the same component for the customer in July. After receiving and inspecting the first batch, the customer placed an additional order for 300 pieces.
The bushings were manufactured for marine equipment used in a ship shaft system for a customer serving the Panama maritime market.
It is manufactured for a marine equipment project serving the Panama shipping authority.

Custom Marine Copper Bushing for Ship Equipment
This project involves the manufacturing of custom marine copper bushings for ship equipment supplied to a client in Panama. Marine bushings are critical components used in ship shaft systems and other marine machinery where high load capacity, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance are required.
Copper alloy bushings are widely used in marine environments due to their excellent resistance to seawater corrosion and their ability to reduce friction between moving parts. They help ensure smooth rotation of shafts and extend the service life of marine equipment.
These custom bushings were manufactured according to client drawings and technical specifications to meet the demanding operating conditions of marine applications.

Material and Quantity
The bushings were manufactured from ASTM C86200 copper alloy bronze. The repeat order quantity was 300 pieces.
The material and manufacturing process were selected according to the confirmed drawing, operating load, shaft contact conditions, marine environment, and customer specifications.
Inspection
The previous order was inspected on site by SGS according to the customer’s requirements. For this repeat batch, our engineers completed the dimensional and surface roughness inspections internally and submitted the inspection photos and reports to the customer for approval before shipment.
The inspection covered the outside diameter, inside diameter, overall height, chamfer dimensions, and specified surface roughness.

Project Result
The completed ASTM C86200 bronze bushings met the confirmed dimensional, chamfer, surface roughness, and appearance requirements. Inspection records and measurement photos were submitted to the customer for approval before shipment.
The additional 300-piece order demonstrates stable repeat production for custom marine bronze bushings manufactured through centrifugal casting and CNC machining.
