Repeat Order Background
This was a repeat order from the same customer for a marine equipment project serving the Panama shipping market. The new order included three different copper alloy components with different materials, dimensions, quantities, and machining requirements.
We had previously manufactured custom marine bronze bushings for this customer. After the first shipment was received and approved, the customer placed this additional order for liner rings, bronze spacers, and bronze plates.
We manufactured the copper bushing for this client in July. This is the detail of the last project:

Custom Marine Copper Alloy Components
This project involved the manufacture of three custom copper alloy components for marine equipment: a C27200 brass liner ring, a C93700 bronze spacer, and a C86200 bronze plate.
Each component was produced according to the customer’s drawing, material specification, dimensional tolerances, quantity, and inspection requirements. The different alloys and geometries required separate evaluation of raw material form, casting feasibility, machining allowance, and final CNC processing.
Key dimensions included outside diameter, inside diameter, thickness, overall height, groove dimensions, hole diameter, and hole center distance.
Manufacturing Process
The copper alloy components were manufactured using the production routes confirmed for each material and part geometry, followed by CNC machining and dimensional inspection.
For suitable ring-shaped bronze components, centrifugal casting can provide a dense and consistent structure while allowing sufficient machining stock for the finished outside diameter, inside diameter, height, grooves, and holes.

Three Copper Alloy Components
In this project, there are three items with different materials.
a. Liner Ring Brass, 142pcs

Material C27200, Cu 62-63%, others are Zn.
Tempering H02.
Thickness 2.25-2.3mm
We also consider buying the brass with the same material plate directly, and then machining to the drawing size. It is more economical than casting + machining. But our client needs the part to be heat treated with tempering H02, so we need to manufacture it by the foundry even if the cost is higher a lot.
b. Bronze Spacer, 23pcs

Material C93700, also called the Japanese LBC3
CU 77-78, Zn<1.0, Pb9.0-11, Al<0.01, P<1.0
c. Bronze Plate, 310pcs
Material C86200, the same as the last project in July.
Dimensional Inspection
C27200 Brass Liner Ring – 142 Pieces
The order included 142 C27200 brass liner rings with a confirmed finished thickness of 2.25–2.30 mm.
The material condition, manufacturing route, machining method, and final dimensions were controlled according to the customer’s approved drawing and material documents.



C93700 Bronze Spacer – 23 Pieces
The order included 23 custom spacers manufactured from ASTM C93700 leaded tin bronze. The material specification and chemical composition were verified according to the approved material certificate.



C86200 Bronze Plate – 310 Pieces
The order included 310 C86200 bronze plates. This was the same copper alloy grade previously used for another marine component supplied to the customer.
The finished parts required control of the outside diameter, inside diameter, overall height, slot dimensions, hole diameter, and hole center distance.










Each component was inspected according to its approved drawing and dimensional requirements.
