Marine Environment Advantages
FRP grating is widely used in marine and offshore environments because it offers excellent corrosion resistance compared with traditional steel structures. In areas where mooring chains move frequently, FRP grating helps reduce friction damage while maintaining structural stability.
Typical advantages include:
- Corrosion resistance in seawater
- Lightweight structure for easier installation
- Long service life in marine environments
- Low maintenance requirements
In marine infrastructure projects, corrosion-resistant materials such as FRP grating are increasingly used to replace traditional steel structures.
Typical Applications
FRP grating used for mooring chain protection can commonly be found in:
- Port infrastructure
- Offshore platforms
- Marine mooring systems
- Dock structures
- Coastal engineering projects
These products are commonly used in marine engineering, port infrastructure, mooring systems, and offshore equipment projects.
FRP grating products are widely used together with other marine infrastructure equipment in port and offshore projects.
Case Study
FRP Grating and Mooring Chain Shipment to Argentina
We arranged the loading of one 20-foot container for a long-term customer in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The shipment included 28 mm mooring chain, chain accessories, swivel assemblies, and FRP grating used for marine platform and mooring-system protection.
This customer has worked with us for three years after we first met at the SMM maritime exhibition in Hamburg.
