Project Name
Plastic Grease Fitting Assembly
Custom Plastic Injection Molded Assembly for Oil & Gas Equipment
This project involved the injection molding and component assembly of a custom plastic grease fitting for a customer in Houston, USA, serving the oil and gas equipment industry.
The assembly combines a glass-fiber-reinforced PPS fitting, a grey Nylon PA6 plunger, an SS304 screw, and a metal compression spring. The molded components and metal hardware were produced or prepared according to the customer’s confirmed drawings and assembly requirements.
Stable molding dimensions, thread formation, component fit, and repeatable assembly were important for maintaining consistent quality across regular 10,000-set production batches.
For custom PPS, glass-fiber-reinforced plastics, Nylon PA6, POM, ABS, PC, and other thermoplastic components requiring mold development, injection molding, dimensional inspection, and batch production, explore our custom plastic injection molding capabilities.
Assembly Composition
Each plastic grease fitting assembly includes:
- One PPS fitting reinforced with 40% glass fiber
- One grey Nylon PA6 plunger
- One metal compression spring
- One SS304 stainless steel screw
The four components were matched according to the approved product structure and checked for fit before packing.

Material
Fitting: PPS reinforced with 40% glass fiber
Plunger: Grey Nylon PA6
Screw: SS304 stainless steel
Compression spring: 0.156″ × 0.375″ according to the confirmed specification
The reinforced PPS fitting was selected according to the customer’s drawing and application requirements. The PA6 plunger, stainless steel screw, and spring were matched during component preparation and assembly.
Quantity
The order quantity was 10,000 sets per batch. This is a regular repeat-order project requiring consistent molding dimensions, stable component matching, controlled assembly, and accurate quantity management.
Component Packing and Batch Preparation

The molded plastic components and matching hardware were counted and packed separately before final assembly or shipment preparation.
Separating the fitting, plunger, screw, and spring helped simplify quantity checking, component matching, and batch control for the 10,000-set order.
Screw

The SS304 screw design was revised several times during product development. Each updated version was reviewed according to the customer’s drawing, assembly fit, and functional requirements before the final design was approved for batch production.
Plastic and Metal Component Assembly
This project required coordination between injection-molded engineering plastic parts and matching metal hardware. The PPS fitting and PA6 plunger had to be correctly matched with the spring and SS304 screw to form a complete component set.

Project Result
The PPS fittings and PA6 plungers were manufactured according to the approved design and matched with the SS304 screws and compression springs for regular batch supply.
The 10,000-set repeat orders demonstrate our ability to coordinate engineering plastic injection molding, drawing revisions, metal hardware matching, quantity control, component assembly support, and export packing.
