The customer is a shipyard in Malaysia and had previously purchased foam-filled fenders from us. After several years of cooperation, they contacted us again for a new product: a custom solid EPDM extrusion profile used as a sealing component in a marine application.
After receiving the drawing, our engineer reviewed the profile structure, dimensions, material, hardness, tolerances, and production feasibility before tooling and sample production.
Project Overview
This project involved a custom solid EPDM extrusion profile for a Malaysian shipyard. The customer had previously purchased foam-filled fenders from us and later contacted us again for a new sealing component used in a marine application.
Based on the customer’s drawing, we reviewed the profile dimensions, material requirements, hardness, tolerances, tooling feasibility, and production details before sample manufacturing.

EPDM Rubber Profile Application
The EPDM rubber profile is used as a sealing component in subway construction. The material provides excellent resistance to weather, ozone, and UV exposure, making it suitable for long-term outdoor use.
The extrusion profile is manufactured based on the customer’s drawings and specifications. The cross-section size for this project is 50 mm × 50 mm.
