Introduction
This project involves custom 3/4″ shoulder bolt assemblies supplied for an industrial customer, including carbon steel and stainless steel bolts, matching hex nuts, and needle bearings.
Instead of supplying individual components, we provided a complete assembly solution, helping the customer simplify sourcing and ensure compatibility between all parts.
We supplied a custom 3/4″ shoulder bolt assembly project for an industrial customer in the United States.
This project includes carbon steel shoulder bolts, 304 stainless steel shoulder bolts, matching hex nuts, and 3/4″ needle bearings.
The bolt and nut production has been completed, while the needle bearings are still in production.
Both carbon steel and stainless steel versions were manufactured according to the customer’s drawing requirements, making this project a good example of our capability in handling custom fasteners and related mechanical components for industrial applications.

Product Details
This type of assembly is commonly used in mechanical systems where shoulder bolts work together with bearings to allow rotation and precise positioning.
This project includes two material options for the shoulder bolts:
1. Carbon Steel Shoulder Bolt
The carbon steel version is produced according to the customer drawing with:
- Material: SAE J429 Grade 8 steel
- Thread: 3/4″-10
- Finish: zinc plated
- Minimum hardness: 35 HRC
According to the drawing, the carbon steel bolt has a 0.749″ shank diameter, an overall length of 3.000″, and a dimension of 2.120″ to end of shank.
2. Stainless Steel Shoulder Bolt
The stainless steel version is produced according to the customer drawing with:
- Material: ASTM A193 B8 Class 2
- Yield strength: 100 KSI
- Thread: 3/4″-10
- Minimum hardness: 22 HRC
The drawing shows a 0.749″ shank diameter, an overall length of 2.950″, and a dimension of 2.095″ to end of shank for the stainless steel version.
We also provide custom manufacturing solutions through processes such as precision investment casting and machining based on customer drawings.

3. Needle Bearing
The matching needle bearing is designed as:
- 3/4″ inner diameter
- 1″ outer diameter
- 3/4″ width
The drawing also specifies:
- Minimum static load: 4,950 lbs
- Minimum dynamic load: 3,450 lbs
At the current stage, the bolts and nuts are finished, and the needle bearings are still under production.
Why Choose a Complete Assembly Solution?
Supplying bolts, nuts, and bearings as a complete assembly helps reduce sourcing complexity, ensures dimensional compatibility, and improves overall installation efficiency.
This approach is especially valuable for industrial customers who require reliable and consistent performance in mechanical systems.
Project Highlights
- Available in both carbon steel and 304 stainless steel
- Custom manufactured based on customer drawings
- Matching hex nuts supplied together with bolts
- Assembly includes needle bearings for mechanical use
- Carbon steel version features zinc plated surface treatment
- Suitable for industrial equipment and mechanical assembly projects
Production Update
The production photos show that the carbon steel and stainless steel bolts have already been completed, and the matching nuts are also ready.
The blue protective mesh on the bolts helps reduce surface damage during storage and transportation. Based on the current production status, the remaining component still in progress is the needle bearing.
