Long-Term Automotive Ductile Iron Casting Project for Australia
This project involves the long-term manufacture of custom SG500-7 ductile iron castings for an Australian customer in the automotive aftermarket and vehicle maintenance sector.
We have manufactured these components for more than 10 years. The product range includes a left knuckle, a middle knuckle, and a brake bracket, all produced according to the customer’s approved drawings and repeat-order requirements.
The left knuckle and middle knuckle are matching components used as a pair. The brake bracket is also consistently ordered together with the knuckles. This shows that the three castings are treated as coordinated components within the customer’s automotive replacement product range.

Although each part has a different casting structure and functional interface, they are repeatedly ordered together. Stable geometry and repeatable production are important to ensure compatibility with the customer’s established automotive aftermarket requirements.
Material: SG500-7 / Gr500-7 Ductile Iron
The specified material for this project is SG500-7 / Gr500-7 ductile iron.
Ductile iron is suitable for automotive structural and replacement components because it provides good strength, toughness, durability, and casting performance. It is well suited to parts with integrated ribs, curved profiles, mounting areas, and other functional structural features.
Sand Casting Production
These knuckle and brake bracket components are manufactured by sand casting. This process is suitable for ductile iron parts with complex external profiles and integrated structural details.
During production, the moulding and pouring process is controlled according to the approved design. After casting, the parts are fettled and visually inspected before export packing.

Stable Repeat Manufacturing for Long-Term Orders
For this long-term project, we follow the established drawings, material requirements, and production standards to maintain stable quality across repeat orders.
Once the technical requirements are confirmed, the customer can place repeat orders according to actual demand. We manufacture the castings according to the approved specifications and arrange export packing for each shipment.
