This project is a repeat supply program for an Australian customer in the automotive industry. The product is a custom stainless steel finger grip used for safety spring related assembly applications.

The parts are manufactured by silica sol investment casting, also known as lost wax casting. This process is suitable for stainless steel components with curved profiles, inner openings, smooth edges, and clean surface requirements.

For this shipment, 1,000 pieces of stainless steel finger grips were produced and arranged by LCL sea shipment to Australia. As a long-term project, the customer requires stable casting quality, consistent surface finishing, and reliable packing for each repeat order.

Project Overview

The finger grip has a curved hook-like profile with an open slot and smooth contact edges. Its shape is not suitable for simple flat stamping, so investment casting is used to form the main structure.

After casting, the parts are cleaned, finished, inspected, and packed before shipment. The final surface has a clean stainless steel appearance, making it suitable for automotive-related assembly areas where both function and appearance matter.

Because this is a repeat project, consistency between batches is very important. We keep the same production route, inspection focus, and packing method to help the customer maintain stable assembly quality.

Manufacturing Process

The parts are produced through precision investment casting, using the silica sol shell process for better surface quality and dimensional control.

The main production steps include:

  • Wax pattern production
  • Silica sol shell building
  • Dewaxing and pouring
  • Stainless steel casting
  • Cutting and cleaning
  • Surface finishing
  • Dimensional inspection
  • Final packing before shipment

For similar drawing-based parts, Yutung Industrial also manufactures custom washers, bolts, pins and chain components according to customer drawings, samples, and application requirements.

Stainless Steel Casting Features

Stainless steel was selected for this project because the part requires good strength, corrosion resistance, and a clean surface appearance.

The product includes curved sections, an inner opening, and smooth contact areas. These features make casting control and finishing quality especially important.

Compared with general sand casting, silica sol investment casting can provide better surface finish and more accurate forming for small and medium-sized stainless steel components.

Quality Control

For long-term repeat orders, quality control is not only about one shipment. The key is to keep the same quality level across different batches.

Key inspection points include:

  • Overall shape and profile
  • Inner slot condition
  • Hook opening shape
  • Casting surface finish
  • Sharp edges or burrs
  • Dimensional consistency
  • Stainless steel surface appearance
  • Packing condition before shipment

Before packing, the parts are checked to reduce visible defects, burrs, and surface issues that may affect assembly or handling.

Packing and Shipment

The finger grips were packed in cartons for LCL sea shipment to Australia. Since the parts have a clean stainless steel surface, packing condition is also important to reduce rubbing marks during transportation.

For repeat supply projects, stable packing helps the customer receive the goods in consistent condition and makes warehouse handling easier.

Long-Term Supply for Automotive Applications

This project has been supplied as a repeat item for our Australian customer. The product is used in automotive-related safety spring assembly applications, where stable material, casting quality, and finishing consistency are required.

These parts are suitable for automotive component applications where custom stainless steel castings are required for mechanical assembly systems.

By managing casting, finishing, inspection, packing, and shipment together, Yutung Industrial helps customers maintain stable supply for long-term custom metal part projects.
