Custom PC Plastic Tong Device Set Project from Mold Development to 5000 Sets Sea Shipment

This custom PC plastic tong device set project included mold development, sample testing, three mold modifications and final production of 5000 sets. Each set included top tong, bottom tong and coring device, packed professionally for international sea shipment.

This project was a fully customized plastic tong device set developed according to the customer’s drawings and technical requirements.

The material used for this project was PC (Polycarbonate), which offers excellent strength, durability and dimensional stability. The final product was designed for professional application and required high precision during mold development and production.

Each complete set included three different components:

  • Top Tong
  • Bottom Tong
  • Coring Device

From mold development to final shipment, the entire project took nearly six months to complete.

Customer Provided Drawings for Custom Mold Development

At the beginning of the project, the customer provided detailed mold drawings and product specifications.

Based on the customer’s design, we first arranged custom mold production and prepared the first round of samples for approval.

Since this was a fully customized plastic product, every detail of the mold structure and product dimensions needed to match the customer’s technical requirements accurately.

Custom mold development is always an important step for precision plastic injection products, especially for products requiring stable assembly performance and dimensional consistency.

Three Mold Modifications During Sample Development

During the sample testing stage, the customer adjusted the product design several times.

According to the updated requirements, we modified the mold again and produced new samples for confirmation.

In total, the mold was modified three times throughout the project.

The complete development process included:

Although the process took almost half a year, both sides maintained close communication throughout the project to ensure the final products could fully meet the customer’s expectations.

After the third mold modification, the final samples successfully passed the customer’s approval.

Production of 5000 Sets After Final Approval

After the samples were officially approved, we immediately arranged mass production for 5000 complete sets.

Each set included:

  • 1 Top Tong
  • 1 Bottom Tong
  • 1 Coring Device

During production, we carefully controlled:

  • Product dimensions
  • Surface quality
  • Assembly compatibility
  • Material consistency
  • Packing condition

Because the material was PC plastic, stable molding temperature and production precision were especially important during injection molding.

Professional Packing for International Sea Shipment

After production was completed, all products were packed carefully for export sea shipment.

Each complete set was individually packed in a bubble bag for protection during transportation.

Final packing details:

  • Each set packed in bubble bag
  • 200 sets packed into one carton
  • Total quantity: 20 cartons
  • All cartons packed onto one pallet

Pallet dimensions:

  • 1.22 m × 1.06 m × 2 m

Total gross weight:

  • 351 kg

The palletized packing helped improve loading efficiency and provided better protection during international transportation.
