This project is a long-term supply program for a USA industrial customer, including 7/8″ partial threaded bolts, matching nuts, and needle bearings used as a complete assembly set.
The parts are manufactured according to the customer’s drawings and regular purchasing requirements. Instead of supplying a single component, we support the customer with a matched set of fasteners and bearing components, helping them maintain stable assembly quality across repeated orders.
Project Overview
The product scope includes 7/8″ partial threaded bolts, matching 7/8″ nuts, and 7/8″ needle bearings.
The bolt is specified as SAE J429 Grade 8 steel, with 7/8″-9 thread and zinc plated finish. The drawing also requires a minimum hardness of 35 HRC and a clean shank surface free of pits and gouges.
The needle bearing is designed with 7/8″ ID, 1.125″ OD, and 1″ width. It includes a hardened drawn cup, needle bearings, and a hardened cage. The bearing is required to meet the customer’s load capacity requirements for the final assembly.
Manufacturing Process
The 7/8″ bolts are produced through cold heading, machining, threading, heat treatment, and zinc plating. During production, we focus on the shank diameter, thread section, overall length, hardness, and surface condition.
The matching nuts are supplied together with the bolts to ensure thread compatibility and stable assembly performance.

The needle bearings are manufactured and inspected as hardened bearing components. Dimensional consistency, bearing structure, surface condition, and packaging protection are important for this product, especially because the bearings are used together with the bolts and nuts in the customer’s equipment.

For similar projects, Yutung Industrial also manufactures custom bolts and related components according to customer drawings, samples, and assembly requirements.
Quality Control
For this long-term project, repeatable quality is more important than one-time production. We check both individual part quality and matching performance between the components.
Key inspection points include:
- Bolt thread size and fit
- Shank diameter and length
- Heat treatment hardness
- Zinc plated surface condition
- Nut thread matching
- Needle bearing ID, OD, and width
- Bearing appearance and rotation condition
- Packing condition before shipment
By controlling these details, we help the customer reduce assembly problems and maintain stable performance in repeated production batches.
Long-Term Supply Experience
This is not a one-time order. The 7/8″ bolt, nut, and needle bearing series has been supplied to the customer for many years as a regular project.
For recent orders, the shipment included carbon steel 7/8″ bolts, carbon steel 7/8″ nuts, and hardened needle bearings in large quantities. This shows the customer’s continued demand for the same matched component set.
Long-term supply requires stable production, reliable inspection, and consistent communication. We keep production records and drawing references to support repeat orders and help the customer avoid unnecessary changes between batches.
This type of fastener and bearing assembly can be used in industrial equipment and oil and gas equipment applications where durable mechanical components are required.
Matched Component Supply
One important feature of this project is that the bolts, nuts, and needle bearings are supplied together.
For industrial assembly parts, purchasing matched components from one supplier can reduce fitting risks and simplify order management. The customer does not need to coordinate different suppliers for bolts, nuts, and bearings separately.
