Custom Finger Grip Casting

This project involves the production of custom metal finger grip components manufactured through the casting process. The finger grip is designed to provide convenient manual handling during installation or adjustment.

Casting allows the production of durable metal components with complex shapes and reliable mechanical strength. The finger grip parts are manufactured according to client drawings and specifications to ensure proper fit and functionality.

Such components are commonly used in mechanical assemblies and automotive installations where manual operation or adjustment is required.

We manufacture custom stainless steel cast components according to customer drawings, material specifications, dimensional requirements, surface requirements, and application conditions.

Manufacturing Process

The finger grips were manufactured from SS316 stainless steel through the silica sol precision investment casting process.

Production included tooling development, wax pattern preparation, ceramic shell building, metal pouring, casting cleaning, gate removal, surface finishing, and dimensional inspection.

The curved finger-grip profile, internal opening, mounting areas, and overall dimensions were controlled according to the customer’s approved drawing.

For cast components requiring secondary machining, drilling, deburring, polishing, surface finishing, and detailed dimensional inspection, explore our custom precision metal parts manufacturing capabilities.

Material

The finger grips were manufactured from SS316 stainless steel according to the customer’s confirmed material specification.

Surface Finish

The silica sol investment casting process produced a clean and consistent as-cast surface suitable for this project.

No additional decorative surface treatment was required for the supplied parts. Depending on customer requirements, secondary finishes such as satin polishing, mirror polishing, passivation, bead blasting, or other surface treatments can be reviewed separately.

Repeat Order Background

The finger grips were supplied to an automotive and industrial equipment customer in Australia.

This is a regular repeat-order project, with the customer generally placing one production batch each year. Stable material quality, consistent casting dimensions, uniform surface appearance, and reliable repeat production were important for the long-term supply program.
