Custom Hydraulic Valve Body Sand Casting
This is a long-term repeat-order project for a hydraulic equipment customer in the Czech Republic. We have manufactured these grey iron hydraulic valve body castings for the customer for more than ten years.
This project involves the production of grey iron hydraulic valve body castings for industrial hydraulic equipment used by a customer in the Czech Republic.
Sand casting was selected because it is suitable for producing robust valve body blanks with complex external shapes, internal cast features, and sufficient machining allowance for subsequent CNC processing.
After casting, the valve bodies were machined according to the customer’s drawings. Critical bores, mounting surfaces, threaded holes, oil passages, and sealing areas required controlled dimensions and surface quality to support reliable hydraulic performance.

Material
The hydraulic valve bodies were manufactured from grey cast iron according to the customer’s confirmed material specification.
The material grade, chemical composition, mechanical properties, and casting requirements were controlled according to the approved drawing and quality documentation for each production batch.
Quantity
The order quantity for this production batch was 1,000 pieces. As a long-term repeat-order project, consistent casting dimensions, machining allowance, material quality, and batch-to-batch stability were especially important.
Hydraulic Valve Casting and Tooling Capability
Our foundry manufactures hydraulic valve body castings for a range of standard and customized directional valve designs, including components compatible with commonly used Rexroth, Yuken, Parker, and Vickers-type hydraulic systems.
For certain existing standard valve body designs, suitable tooling may already be available, which can reduce or eliminate new pattern costs. Tooling availability must be checked according to the customer’s exact model, dimensions, material, machining requirements, and drawing revision before quotation.
For fully customized valve bodies or modified standard designs, new casting patterns, core boxes, fixtures, or machining tooling may still be required.

Quality Control
The valve body castings were inspected before and after machining according to the customer’s approved drawings and quality requirements.
Inspection can include casting appearance, material verification, machining allowance, bore dimensions, mounting surfaces, hole positions, threads, oil passages, sealing surfaces, and other specified dimensions. Inspection records are prepared according to the agreed project requirements before shipment.
